With several decades of experience in the departments of Maxillofacial Surgery, our team and our facility are perfectly trained to perform all major maxillary surgery and minor neck surgery, both in adults and children (thanks to the nitrous oxide sedation system)
Excision and plastic surgery of lingual and labial frenulums in children
Bone cyst enucleation
Intrasinus access
Removal or dissolving of salivary gland stones,
Extraction of the eighth (“wisdom”) teeth with complex impaction
Disinclusion and anchoring for orthodontic purposes of teeth retained in the maxillaries
Biopsies of precancerous lesions
These are just some of the procedures regularly performed at our centre. Everything happens in a completely sterile environment, just like we are used to in advanced hospital surgeries. In our planning and execution, we use the 3D reconstructions of our Vatech Tomograph and the minimally invasive cutting of the Piezosurgery handpiece. This handpiece allows us to operate on bone tissues without damaging vessels and nerves, thus offering surgery that is clean, radical when necessary, yet completely safe.

Implantology is without a doubt the treatment of choice for the replacement of a lost tooth. A titanium screw inserted into the bone is capable of supporting one or more teeth. Today’s method is simple, safe and guarantees predictable results over time… obviously if carried out according to established protocols.

Since 2002, Studio Santilli has used three-dimensional surgical design software (Implant 3D) for more than 1,700 implants, with excellent long-term results. This digital system, which we use for every implant reconstruction project,
offers three indisputable advantages:
1 A specific implant design (to choose the best implant solution for each individual case)
2 Less invasiveness (less postoperative swelling)
3 Reduced execution times

the most commonly asked question when talking about dental implants is…. “how long does an implant last?”
Answer: we don’t know. We can certainly state that modern materials and above all today’s knowledge of the subject allow us to foresee them lasting an average of several decades. However, the survival of an implant has to be distinguished from its health: the success of an implant is not determined by how long the implant screw “lasts” in the mouth, but by the absence of mechanical, aesthetic or, more importantly, infection issues.
Three elements that certainly determine the success of an implant over time are:
1 Proper design: “Design is the basis for the success of any human endeavour.” Therefore, evaluating the patient as a whole, grasping his requests and comparing them with different therapeutic possibilities, assessing the current and achievable hygiene conditions, considering the biological and mechanical conditions of the prosthetic implant system over time: this and more is the basis of our implant’s success over time. Implantology as an advanced science with great prospects, and not as “little screws in the bone where there is bone.”
2 Materials: use the best. Our office has been using Straumann for 20 years. The Straumann system has been the world’s implantology Gold Standard for 50 years. Every component, every element of your implant is the result of the most advanced research of the ITI international group and of a production system whose standards are unmatched. All implants and secondary components are guaranteed and certified by Straumann all over the world. Forever.
3 Checking and hygiene: maintenance is what allows good products to last over time. For this reason, we always remind you how to clean your teeth and implants and what to use, and we call you for cleanings and for free periodic checks. Always by the side of our patients, for generations.

In case of complete or very extensive edentulism, it is possible to restore an entire arch with 4-6 implants and a fixed structure in resin or ceramic. The load can even be immediate, offering the pleasant feeling of leaving the office with one’s fixed teeth. The prosthesis can be removed periodically, but only at the office for professional cleaning and to check the implant structures.

Probably one of the best choices for patients with have worn mobile dentures for a long time, the prosthesis, which has absolutely no palate, offers a perfect aesthetic even in case of extensive bone atrophies. The prosthesis is anchored on a bar supported by implants, and thus provides the functional stability of a fixed prosthesis, but with the convenience of being able to remove it at home to clean it easily and completely.
